6. Content Moderation & Removal

Content moderation — including the removal or editing of any experience or comment — is handled exclusively by recentia.fyi moderators. Any person or business who believes that content is false, unlawful, misleading, contains personal data, or otherwise violates these Terms may submit a formal review request to support@recentia.fyi. recentia.fyi will review all requests independently and impartially. Removal is not automatic and is determined solely by our moderation team in accordance with these Terms.

Businesses named in a post may also submit an Official Response — a verified statement displayed publicly alongside the original post. Contact support@recentia.fyi to submit a response.

If your content is removed or hidden and you believe this was done in error, you may submit an appeal to support@recentia.fyi with a brief explanation. Appeals are reviewed at our discretion and do not guarantee reinstatement.

7. Moderation & Content Review

All submissions are reviewed by our moderation team before publication. Moderation is an internal process to ensure submissions meet community standards — factual language, no personal details of individuals, no allegations of criminal conduct. Moderation does not constitute verification of the accuracy or truthfulness of any claim. recentia.fyi does not independently investigate or verify user-submitted content. All content remains the sole legal responsibility of the submitting user.

Approval of a submission indicates only that the content does not obviously violate our community standards on its face. It is not an endorsement of, agreement with, or confirmation of the accuracy of any claim made. recentia.fyi has no independent means to verify first-hand personal accounts and expressly does not attempt to do so. Any reliance placed on user-submitted content by any party is entirely at that party's own risk.

8. Points & Community Levels

The points and levelling system is a community engagement feature only. Points have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed, transferred, or exchanged. We reserve the right to adjust, reset, or suspend any user's points or level at our discretion, without notice or compensation.

9. Intellectual Property

All design, code, structure, branding, and editorial elements of recentia.fyi are proprietary. Unauthorised reproduction, scraping, or copying of any part of this platform is strictly prohibited. User-submitted content remains the intellectual property of the submitting user; by submitting, you grant recentia.fyi a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and archive that content as part of the platform.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or at our discretion. Upon termination, your submitted content may remain on the platform in anonymised form.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, recentia.fyi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or reliance on any user-generated content posted here.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will endeavour to notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification.

13. Community Contributions

recentia.fyi offers an optional, entirely voluntary community contribution feature to help fund platform infrastructure, moderation, and development. The following terms apply to all contributions made through the platform:

By making a contribution, you confirm that you have read and understood this section and that your contribution is made voluntarily, with full knowledge that no product, service, or benefit is provided in return.

14. Copyright & Content Takedown Requests

If you believe that content on recentia.fyi infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please send a written notice to legal@recentia.fyi containing:

We will review valid notices and take appropriate action, which may include removal of the infringing content. Submitting a false or fraudulent takedown notice may expose you to liability for damages and costs.

15. Legal Orders & Government Requests

recentia.fyi will comply with lawful orders, directions, and requests issued by courts, regulatory authorities, and government bodies with jurisdiction over us or our users. This includes content takedown orders, correction directions (such as those issued under Singapore's Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act), court orders requiring disclosure of user information, and equivalent instruments under the laws of other jurisdictions listed in Section 4.
